Description |
It is a M2 muscarinic receptor antagonist and a myorelaxant. It allows the production of 3-alpha-[125I]Iodo-Imperialine by substitution of bromine by [125I] iodine. Steroid alkaloid , derivative of Imperialine from the plant Petilium eduardi, and P. raddeanae. |
Biological activity | It possesses M2 selective activity: ED50 on cats under anaesthesia (i.v.) 0.015 mg/kg : 65 % of Atropine activity on heart, 1.7 % on isolated ileum, 0.16 % on salivary gland. |
