| Biological activity | α-latroinsectotoxin-Lt1a (Alpha-LIT) binds with high affinity to insects presynaptic membranes. It stimulates neurotransmitter release from nerve endings, increases intracellular Ca2+ concentration; the biological activity on nerve endings occurs at 10-10-10-9 M. |
